THE PHYSICAL THERAPY APPROACH AT THE ELITE MISSION
Are you injured or have pain that has lasted for years? I can probably help; even if you’ve tried other forms of treatment. A number of things set my practice apart from other physical therapy clinics in the Richmond, VA area. I provide full-hour sessions of one-on-one care with a doctor of physical therapy, who is residency trained and board certified in orthopedics. I have had the privilege of working with many master clinicians that have formed the eclectic and holistic approach I bring to my patients. I leverage cutting-edge technology like 3D Gait Analysis, blood flow restriction training, dry needling and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization to help resolve pain, optimize performance and help you achieve lofty goals. You won’t waste time laying heat packs or doing exercises you could do on your own time. You won’t pass to an assistant or work with someone who is dividing their attention between more than one person. Your care will not depend on what an insurance company will pay for or for how long an insurance company is willing to pay for it. Your care focuses on getting you back to the activities and lifestyle you want (without pain medications or surgery). My success stories include patients with debilitating back pain that radiates down the legs, chronic headaches, sports injuries and rotator cuff pain, to name a few.

Kyle LaFerriere As an ultra runner, going long distances pain free is essential. Andrew is hands down the best PT in Richmond, VA. For almost a year we worked together. An unexpected injury popped up 5 weeks out from my 2024 flagship race, Cocodona 250, 250 Miles with over 42k of elevation gain. Because Andrew knew my body, he worked quickly, and tirelessly to fix me. Lots of late night texts, and strength plans, and exercises, he put me back together. The workouts are one thing, but Andrew cared, he wanted to see me finish this race and he did everything correctly to make sure that was possible. For 250 miles I was pain free. After 110 hours of continuous moving over some of the toughest terrain, I was able to finish the race. Not only did I finish, I was pain free. 9 weeks after (currently) I am back to running 60+ mile weeks with no pain. This would not have happened if Andrew was not my PT. Forrest Schmidt Andrew helped me so much getting over a running injury. After an unsuccessful experience with another PT, it was great working with Andrew because of his expertise with runners. Jason Watts I had heard that Andrew was quite talented at what he did, but one day I got to put him to the test. I woke up that morning with a sharp pain in my mid to lower back / side that was causing me difficulty breathing. I ruled out any possibility of cardiac or pulmonary issues and decided that it seemed like a muscular or skeletal issue of some sort and decided to give Andrew a call. After a brief conversation, he said it sounded like a rib mobility issue of some sort and asked how long the pain had been there. He got excited when I told him it had started that day as it meant that I had not had time for inflammation to build up. He scheduled me for that afternoon and in less than 30 minutes he was able to pinpoint the offending rib and fix the problem. I saw literally immediate results and the problem has not returned since. A quick response and effective treatment kept me from having potentially longer term issues. I would highly recommend Andrew for even small issues like mine! 5 stars! Ahmed Butt As a former D1 athlete who managed to make it through my competitive playing days with minimal injury, when I tore my ACL playing recreational soccer I was apprehensive about starting post ACL reconstruction rehabilitation. Luckily, I found Dr. Stube. His hands-on approach, knowledge of current research, and attention to detail allowed me to not only recover from an ACL tear to do my work as a physician, but also return to coaching my kids. He is now the first call I make when any injury happens. Tim Hayes I saw Dr. Stube for physical therapy after injuring my ankle while playing adult league recreational ice hockey. I powered through the pain for a while thinking it would eventually heal up, but even after five months I was still suffering and having trouble simply walking down stairs. I realized I needed to get some help. My orthopedist referred me to physical therapy and I reached out to Dr. Stube. Within the first couple sessions my ankle’s range of motion was almost completely back to form, and soon after I was skating pain-free for the first time in half a year. I'm very thankful for the work of Dr. Stube, and amazed at how transformative physical therapy was for my recovery.
